Bangalore-based Giftxoxo, owned by Nreach Online Services Pvt. Ltd., has acquired Mumbai-based online marketplace for booking and discovery of kids related activities Actizone.
As per the deal, Actizone co-founder, Rajat Varma, will join Nreach and will lead the sales & business development in Western India market.
Giftxoxo also has an app called Frogo that helps customers discover and book activities, experiences and professionals around their city or travel destination. The acquisition will help Frogo to cater to the kids activities market in India.
Founded by Rajat Varma and Bhavin Barbhaya is 2015, Actizone, is an online marketplace for extracurricular activity classes. It helps parents to discover and book enriching classes & activities for their children in their neighbourhood.
Rajat Varma, co-founder of Actizone, said, “We found great synergy with the promoters of Nreach and their deep understanding of market we are addressing. We strongly believe that with their robust tech & marketing engine, jointly we will be able to help our customers to choose right activities and experiences efficiently in the highly unorganized segment”.
Giftxoxo was founded in 2012 by Sumit Khandelwal, Manoj Agarwal, Abhishek Kumar and Kushal Agrawal. The startup provides exclusive and personalised experiences across various categories including gourmet, adventure, tours & getaways, health & wellness, arts & learning and philanthropy. These experiences and activities can be booked through its mobile app Frogo or gifted via the website (Giftxoxo.com).
In October 2015, Giftxoxo acqui-hired Yipeedo, a startup focused on helping city dwellers to discover and book leisure activities.
