US and Bangalore-based Fulfil.IO has raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding from Rajan Anandan, Vice President of Google India and Southeast Asia.
Sharoon Thomas, CEO of Fulfil.IO, said, “In our process of scaling up, we are sure we will gain a lot from Rajan’s experience of building and scaling world-class products in the internet retail space.”
Fulfil.IO was founded in 2015 by Rituparna Panda, Tarun Bhardwaj, Prakash Pandey and Sharoon Thomas. It is a cloud-based software for retailers to manage inventory and automate fulfillment operations across online and offline channels. Through this inventory management and order fulfillment software, the retailers can gain visibility into their backend operations and manage it efficiently.
Sharoon added that their customers have seen 20%+ growth, up to 11% in reduction of reverse orders and more shipments per employee, after using Fulfil.IO.
The startup has a centre in Bangalore where its team works on design, engineering and data analytics. With the newly raised capital, Fulfil.IO will ramp up its sales operations in the US and scale the product further.
Fulfil.IO was among the 15 startups chosen in investment firm 500 Startups’ accelerator programme, where it received $125K as initial investment.
Anandan primarily invests in early stage technology companies in sectors like internet, mobile and software. His latest investments, apart from Fulfil.IO, include Smytten and Unacademy.
