Homegrown ecommerce marketplace, Flipkart, has launched ‘Flipkart One Stop’ (F1-Stop) to enable sellers with necessary information and procedures to kick start and grow their business online.
F1-Stop centre will offer an array of services to the sellers ranging from registration, training, cataloguing, packaging and financial assistances.
The facility is currently available for sellers in 10 key cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Surat and Jaipur. Flipkart plans to further extend the initiative to top 20 cities by end of this year.
Flipkart, which embraces seller base of 30000, has tied up with full service agencies like Sellerworx, 99yrs.com, BluBox, Chikiweb and Browntape to help SME’s, wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers to start their online journey.
Ankit Nagori, Chief Business Officer at Flipkart said, “Close to 70% sellers struggle to get their business registered and running online. Also, lot of on-boarded sellers request for guidance on growth strategies for online selling. Flipkart’s One Stop is an extension to create a seamless seller ecosystem in India. Currently, we have tied up with about 5-10 agencies, but we plan to get 50-60 agencies by the end of this year.”
Another marketplace in the domain is Alibaba backed Paytm. Paytm had recently launched a similar initiative called GoBig platform to help its sellers scale business online.
Paytm also hopes to expand the network of merchants on its ecommerce marketplace from 60,000 to 100,000 by the end of this year.
