Just after the recent announcement of an attractive maternity scheme, Flipkart has come up with an another muse – ‘adoption assistance programme’.
The programme will allow six months of paid leave for women. Whereas, Men can avail upto six weeks of paid leave within the first six months of adoption. However, both men and women will get flexible working hours for the next four months.
The golden point of the scheme – Adoption of a child under 12 months of age will allow women to avail of the same benefits as under Flipkart’s maternity leave policy, i.e; six months paid leave plus four months of flexible working hours.
Talking of the new program launch, Flipkart tweeted –

However, if the adopted child is over 12 months of age, three months of paid leave and an additional four months flexible working hours will be availed to women.
According to Flipkart’s statement, “scheme will offer Rs 50,000 adoption allowance to use towards legal, agency, regulatory costs or any other expenses that may arise during the adoption process.”
With these stand-out initiatives, Flipkart is creating a culture that straight away beats any corporate company in India.
