IBM Global Entrepreneur, in association with Manipal Hospitals and T-Hub has organised a challenge, IBM Smartcamp for HealthTech. Eight healthtech startups have been selected under the same.
The judges of the event were Sanjay Mehta, angel investor; Arihant Patni, Founder, Ideaspring Capital and Hive India; Nandkishore Dhomne, Group CIO, Manipal Hospitals; Mukul Mathur, VP, One Channel and CSI, IBM India and SA. Other judges include Sateesh Andra, MD, Endiya Partners; Padmaja Ruparel, President, Indian Angel Network; Seemant Jauhari, CEO, Apollo Research & Innovations; Dr. Guru Reddy, Chairman, Continental Hospitals; Seema Kumar, Country Leader, Startups and Ecosystem, IBM India and SA; and Deepak Natrajan, MD, Aarin Capital.
The first prize at the event was bagged by Oxyent Technologies, and UE LifeSciences and DailyRounds were selected as the first and second runners-up respectively.
The Top Eight Finalists Of The Event Are
It is a hospital-linked application and a one-stop workflow solution for Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) & the Pediatrics Department to assimilate and disseminate child information, starting from birth up to 12 years of age.
The startup works in the area of structuring, analysing, and generating insights from the Indian healthcare datasets. It leverages flexible database to deliver insights through comprehensive analytical modules, including clinical analytics and personalised care.
It provides talent sourcing and development platform for healthcare providers. It offers an assessment solution, called Bodhi Nano programmes including mobile and web-based learning system to private and public hospitals, medical & nursing colleges, and Government public health programmes.
It is a mobile app for doctors, medical schools, physician, and surgeon societies to publish clinical cases, articles, and images. The platform allows doctors to share insights about medical cases. It claims to provide a verified diagnosis within 24 hours of submission. It also functions as a medical case library for doctors to refer and discuss their cases.
Its flagship product, iBreastExam is a portable, radiation-free device that can be used anywhere. The device essentially performs bilateral breast examinations and claims to provide results under five minutes. It accurately detects lesions with a sensitivity higher than 85% without causing any pain and has a low false-alarm rate of 6%.
It offers the entire range of medical supplies in a marketplace model. It works on a pincode-based GIS system so that order delivery can happen in shortest possible time with an engagement of local supplier wherever possible.
It offers a multi modal attention measurement iPAD app that relies on all round measurement of heart signals using multiple inputs. It is used in medical processes such as EEG, CPT, Electro Dermal activities etc.
It works on a subscription-based model and creates a network of all the pharma supply chain participants. It uses technology to provide pharmacies with order management, procurement, returns, collections, and market Insights.
IBM under its Global Entrepreneur Program is also organising a startup challenge – IBM Smartcamp for Smart City. Tech-based startups are applicable to participate in the event.
B2B and B2C startups working in the areas of energy, utility, transportation, sanitation, agritech, water conservation, citizen management, safety, and surveillance can apply for the event.
The applications for the challenge will close on November 4, 2016.
