eureQa, a test automation Software as a Service (SaaS) startup, has raised $600K in a seed round of funding from Gabriel Investments, a Philadelphia-based venture fund. As part of the deal, Sashi Reddi (investment partner at Gabriel) will join eureQa’s board.
Founded in 2012 as a division of Tripod Technologies by Badri Nittoor and Bari Chittamuri, eureQa, provides an easy to use test automation platform that meets the demands of enterprise application developers catering to mobile, social and cloud-based applications.
The startup’s platform is built on top of various open source components like Selenium WebDriver that greatly improve on the old generation test automation products that have been use for over 20 years. The software is delivered as a subscription service and can enable users to automate their software testing without writing code.
Sashi Reddi, managing partner at SRI Capital & investment partner at Gabriel Investments, said, “eureQa offers a compelling value proposition to enterprise application teams to do test automation without being bogged down by having to write code. For a small fee per month, companies can get going in a just a few days. Badri and Bari are revolutionising the way that software gets tested.”
