Kolkata-based internet consulting company Indus Net Technologies has launched a digital acceleration lab, by the name of Indus Net Labs in Kolkata.

According to an official statement, the 1,000 sq.ft. Acceleration Lab is located in Saltlake, the IT hub of the city. The venture is backed by Indus Net Technologies with thrust areas of B2B digital technology, including SaaS and enterprise software development initiatives. Preference will be given to startups catering to marketing, financial, retail, and business solutions in the above-mentioned sectors.

The accelerator programme will support the startups by providing them mentoring, industry connections, and investor-networking. It will offer a three-month-long programme without any fees or equity demanded by the company. Entry to both the programmes is invitation-based, on criteria set by Indus Net Labs.

Commenting on the development, Abhishek Rungta, CEO, Indus Net Technologies said, “The biggest challenge a B2B tech startup faces in Kolkata is proper time-bound mentoring, guidance and expertise; besides technology support, customer access, and a marketing/sales engine. This is our attempt to solve the problem, a few startups at a time.”

Startups enrolled in the programme will get insights from industry veterans on strategy, business model, product-market fit, segmentation-positioning-differentiation, marketing plan, sales pitch & process, scaling, finance, team building, technology guidance, and management basics.

After completion of the basic acceleration programme, the selected startups can also enroll themselves for the Acceleration+ programme. In this upgraded programme, startups will have access to Indus Net’s resources.

Talking about the development, Bharat Berlia, CIO, Indus Net Technologies said, “The focus of Indus Net Labs is to promote promising startups from the technological domain and, thus creating the right ecosystem for their growth and development. The Lab will provide domain specific programmes to the participants to hone their skill to take ahead their ventures in the right direction.”

In March 2016, Indus Net Technologies acquired InFluxERP and a digital marketing startup TechShu, in April 2016. Following that, in August 2016, Indus Net Technologies and E-Cube Energy joined hands to develop a cloud-based platform Motor Tool that uses big data and technology for management and utilisation of industrial energy.
