Deyor Camps, a chain of branded camps has raised $500K from Nitin Passi, Manickam Mahalingam, Udaan Angels, Rajesh Arora and Arkas Industries.

Deyor Camps was founded by Dheeraj Jain (Redcliffe Capital), Chirag Gupta, Aakaar Gandhi, Himanshu Agarwal and Gautam Yadav to meet the demands of unorganised adventure travel market in India.

It provides alternative accommodation such as tents, cottages, and tree houses through its mobile application and website along with booking location-based adventure activities. It is  present in more than 60 locations across the country with more than 140 campsites.

Talking about the startup, co-founder Dheeraj Jain said, “Operating in a monopolistic nature in this sector, Deyor Camps is a technology platform, which makes booking camping trips as simple as booking a hotel room, hence, structuring a highly fragmented sector.”

In July 2016, B2B travel portal Travel Boutique Online (TBO) acquired strategic equity in Deyor Camps. Travel Boutique Online, backed by Naspers Group, is a B2B travel portal with more than 19,000 travel agents.

With the strategic equity in Deyor Camps, TBO enabled branded campsites at more than 45 locations in India. And it allowed Deyor Camps to further strengthen its leadership position in camping and adventure travel market.

According to a company statement, Deyor camps has engaged 10,000+ travellers, spreading over 170+ properties, across 55+ cities, and 200+ activities. It aims to enter the South and Southeast Asian markets.
