Cureinstant, a social health networking website, has raised $150K (INR 1 Cr) in Seed funding from Dr. Rameshwar Kumar.

The funding will be used to enhance and develop the website’s network of healthtech professionals.

Founded in 2015 by Hamraj Kumar, Cureinstant.com offers a platform where patients, doctors, medical stores, pathology labs, fitness centres and other health professionals can come together. It also offers an appointment management software to hospitals and clinics, facilitating online appointments for users. It also provides a cloud-based health report service.

Commenting on the funding, Hamraj Kumar, CEO and founder, Cureinstant said, “Our startup is looking forward to invest these funds towards expanding our business by connecting more health professionals and making our user base more active.”

Based in Delhi, the startup currently has a team of seven people. When asked what makes them different, they claimed to provide 24×7 services and connectivity to their users and their medical needs via a social portal.

Regarding the investment, Dr. Rameshwar Kumar said, “With a mission to make health accessible to every person digitally, I have funded this company. Hope we can provide a solution for health problems globally and use our IT interface between health professionals and patients.”

Major competitors in the healthtech space include Practo, Portea and Goqii.

In August 2016, healthcare analytics startup Tricog raised Series A funding from Blume, Inventus and others. CIIE-IIM Ahmedabad also invested in two healthtech startups: Zeolr and MobiDent in the same month.

Healthcare startups have ushered in a change to the previously fragmented healthcare services sector with digital solutions. The past few years also saw the entry of startups like Lybrate, eKincare, Medibox Technologies, Mediaka Bazaar, Medical Unique Identity and BookMEDS.
