Couponraja.in, online coupon aggregator and CompareRaja, a price comparison site, have raised US$500K in a funding round from a group of angel investors including Mahesh Pratapneni (Founder of Medgenome) and Pallab Chatterjee (Managing Director of Symphony Technology Group) who will be joining the boards of the company.
The funding will be used to improve its technology assets along with reaching out to new users.
Couponraja and CompareRaja were launched about three years ago by Rohit Chugh (CEO) and Prasad Shejale (Chief Product Officer).
The portals have grown to become established brands helping consumers save time and money while shopping. The websites have about 5 million page visits a month and generate over 3000 transactions daily for brands like Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, FoodPanda and PAYTM. Couponraja and CompareRaja also attract users to their mobile apps which are available on Android, iOS and Windows platform.
