Chennai Angels Invest $500K In Home Automation Startup Silvan

Bangalore-based home automation startup, Silvan Innovation Labs, has raised about $500K (INR 3.5 Cr.) in a funding round from The Chennai Angels.

Silvan will use the raised capital to promote the products on ecommerce sites as well as expansion in new geographies.

Founded in 2008, Avinash Gautam, Giri Krishna, Nandakumar Raghavan and Mohan G., Silvan, provides technology-enabled security and entertainment options across residential, hospitality & commercial sectors. Big housing companies like Nambiar Builders, Total Environment, Tata Housing etc. utilise its services. The company is setting up dealer networks in major cities to enable product installation.

Sharad Sharma, co-founder and Governing Council member of iSPIRT, a non-profit industry think tank is also an investor in Silvan.
