Auto portal startup, CarDekho, has announced the launch of its commercial vehicle platform, TrucksDekho.
The portal will address market of commercial vehicles by showcasing latest trucks information. It will allow customers to choose from best options around buying and owning a truck and other commercial vehicles.
The portal will have options like searching, comparing and gleaning of all sorts of information, brochures, reviews, making it a customer’s one-stop shop for commercial vehicles research. It also has features like Price Updates, EMI Calculator, Event Coverage, Finance and Dealer Offers.
TrucksDekho provides information of about 13 leading trucks and commercial vehicle brands, including specs & features, comparisons and reviews of more than 800 vehicles.
Besides, it also offers information and contact details of more than 2000 dealers of such vehicles in India and more than 60 truck body makers.
On its launch, Amit Jain, founder & CEO of CarDekho said, “It takes broad vision of an entire industry to commit to an idea. TrucksDekho is just that idea reaching execution at the right time. Commercial Vehicle industry in India has surged over the past decade and the market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 16%.”
CarDekho was founded in 2008 by siblings, Amit and Anurag Jain. It is an online marketplace for users to buy and sell used as well as new cars. The site also offers information on car insurance and finance. The company receives 17 Mn visits & 10 Mn unique visitors per month on its portal.
With market size to be about 1.6 Mn units by 2016-17, players such as Tata Motors (47% Market Share), Mahindra and Mahindra (25% Market Share) and Ashok Leyland (15% Market Share) are currently leading in this industry.
Back in May this year, CarDekho had also launched its platform, TyreDekho. The portal provides content, reviews and research tools to guide consumers to make the best choice for tyre purchase. The site also hosts tyre listings for all passenger cars and bikes sold in India, information on tyre brands, products, pricing, features and dealers.
