Stay Ahead With Daily News & Analysis on India’s Tech & Startup Economy
US and Bangalore-based online hiring platform, Bevy, has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Varun Agarwal of Alma Mater and other angel investors.
The startup plans to use the raised capital for hiring experts in the fields of HR, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Development. It also plans to hire data scientists from IITs to make its platform more self-reliant so that it matches users’ profile with more relevant jobs.
Started in 2014 by Luke Walton, Bevy is an online hiring platform which helps job seekers secure interviews with recruiters via its Smart Placement Process.
How It Works?
- The user needs to first create a Bevy Profile with their credential details
- After creating the profile Bevy platform automatically connects the user to the open job positions. This is done through numerous scoring metrics which finally deliver you a profile score.
- Once the user selects for the appropriate opening Bevy schedules the interviews and helps the users in connecting with the recruiters.
According to Bevy, “The biggest issue, which job seekers in India today encounter on various hiring platforms, isn’t lack of jobs or un-scheduled interviews. It is actually the out-dated, traditional and hence complicated user-interface with these platforms which is more of a pain to go through than actual interviews.”
According to Luke Walton, Founder & CEO, Bevy, “When we look at solving many problems associated with hiring, it will only make sense to start from the beginning where a candidate speaks with a recruiter for the first time.”
Bevy provides the solution to this problem through a simple, unique and clean UI, based on modern web tech built mostly on the more popular flat UI concept. The interface is minimalistic, easy to use, and makes the entire process of getting to a recruiter via its platform, a breeze.
Besides, the startup is on a look out to fill huge time lags created between company’s decisions to hire someone to when they actually start the hiring process.
Prior to this the startup had raised $692.5k Seed funding from Varun Agarwal.
Recently, there have been quite a few startups in the online hiring domain paving way for the candidates to get recruited. Just last week another Bangalore-based online hiring platform, ZenRadius, raised an undisclosed amount in seed funding led by TraxcnLabs and Deepak Singh, founder and director of Anzy Careers. HackerRank is another hiring platform that helps in hiring technical talent. This startup had also raised $7.5 Mn as a strategic investment from Recruit Holding’s this month.
