Noida-based online marketplace AskmeBazaar has launched its hyperlocal business model, Next Day Delivery (NDD) in Hyderabad.

AskmeBazaar is an online shopping portal that allows consumers to choose from various sellers offering a wide variety of fashion and lifestyle products.

The NDD service is available in 22 cities and will be expanded to another 28 cities in the next few weeks.

According to Marichi Mathur, head of sales & operations (NDD) at askmeBazaar, this business model will be rolled out across 50 Tier II & Tier III Indian cities in next 2 months. Besides, the company is also looking to expand this service in the next set of 50 cities by the end of this year.

“We sell non-grocery products, with each product carrying a price tag of INR 1,000 or more. We deliver at no cost to the customer. Moreover, we give them the best price”, Mathur told BS. He also said that the company was having over 14,000 sellers offering around 6,000 non-grocery products through the NDD model.

AskmeBazaar has a database of 13 million small and medium enterprises through its parent, consumer internet platform AskMe, which will help in growth.

The firm is looking forward to deliver 1,000 orders a day from this month onwards, and has set a target of about 5,000 orders a day in the next couple of months.

The company claims that it delivers one million orders a month and expects to grow 10-fold in the next six months. With the help of the festival season, the company is ensured about reaching its target.
