Gurgaon-based Applyifi, a private platform for startups and early-stage companies to raise funds, has launched its operations in the ASEAN region. The platform will now accept applications from startups throughout Asia, without limitations.

Applyifi was founded in April 2015 by entrepreneurship evangelist and startup mentor Prajakt Raut, Sharad Puri and David Kirk as a private platform for startups and early-stage companies to create a comprehensive and elegant online investor pitch deck and get funded. Applyifi provides startups and investors with a detailed assessment report and the 36-point scorecard.

The platform claims that its experience in India gives it a ringside view of different kinds of businesses and at different levels of market maturity. i.e. given the diversity and the size of India, some categories are mature, while some are some emerging. As Applyifi is immersed in this ecosystem for over a decade, it helps it to provide an expert view on businesses across sectors and across market circumstances.

Applyifi envisions that it can provide insights and guidance on entering the Indian market, or navigate the investor landscape in India for companies that offer products/services that have potential to succeed.

Currently, the platform is not planning to hire full-time staff as the expertise and insights on how to assess startups for their investment worthiness is built centrally in the India office. However, it plans to engage relevant mentors for startups that may require assistance in refining their business plans.

Just last month, in April 2016, Applyifi launched The Fundraising Assistance Program (FRA). The program will give companies tools they need to make a compelling pitch to investors, in just three one-on-one sessions.
