Applop Raises Bridge Round Of Funding From GHV Accelerator

Applop Mobile Solutions, a SAAS provider that enables users to make their own mobile app, has raised a bridge round of funding from GHV Accelerator.

The startup has received about $250K so far and plans to close this round at $500K.

Founded in 2015 by Rahul Singhal and Jyoti Singhal, Applop enables Smartphone users to create and customise their mobile apps without any coding. It assists business owners in providing text-based solutions, digital marketing and payment integration solutions.

The startup claims to have already helped create about 900 mobile apps till date. It has added 3,000+ clients on its platform with revenues of $66,700 till June.

Vikram Upadhyaya, chief mentor and accelerator evangelist, GHV Accelerator, said, “The world is going to bet high on the Indian mobile app industry. There has been a paradigm shift from dotcom to apps, as users shifts from desktops to Smartphone.”

Applop plans to spend the newly raised capital on technology development and expanding operations to SE Asia. Part of the funds will also be used for marketing and brand building.

Jyoti Singhal, co-founder of Applop, said, that it has almost 70% of women as its workforce, the women is to men ratio being 70:30.

Last year, GHV Accelerator onboarded Applop along with investing $100K in it. Applop was also a part of StartupPulse Mumbai edition organised by Inc42.
