Bangalore-based Anakage, an “In App” product learning & user support solution provider, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from CIO Angel Network (CAN).

Founded in late 2013 by Rajeev Kumar and Prosenjit Ghosh, Anakage, is the first of a kind “In App” product learning and user support solution provider that enables users to watch videos, practice and test usage skills in real applications. Anakage “In App” provides the post training in-application assistance, a hand to guide you as you use the product in real time on the job. This helps in accelerating the users’ time to productivity while reducing training & support costs up to 80%.

The company’s technology creates content that replaces the video and physical formats of training and user support.

Anakage provides “In App” learning and self-help content on enterprise applications like SAP, Dynamics, Epicor, Windows, Microsoft Office Suite along with an authoring platform that works on all applications with its own GUI or standard browsers.

The startup is advised by Kannan Narayanaswamy, a visiting professor at IIMA and IIM Indore for VC, PE and Entrepreneurship courses, who has about 20 years of experience in funding, investing, incubating and starting up.

With 60K training hours and 100K user base, the company claims to utilise the funds for expansion of user base and sales in the next 12 months by improving the product features and adding content to solve customers’ training & user support problems.

One of the lead investors in Anakage said, “From a disjointed class room training on an application to a real time on the job training right on the production system is the product USP and this is a greenfield space”
Anakage’s addressable market size is huge as this space has not seen any disruptions in a while. The space includes $20 Bn IT education & training services, $3 Bn of global annual ERP training spend, a multi-billion dollar IT service desk space besides a massive $51 Bn self-paced elearning market – most of which is product learning (85% of Lynda, Udemy is Product learning).
