Chennai-based aahaa stores, an end-to-end online office supplies superstore specialising in indirect purchases, has raised about $1 Mn funding in pre-series A round from a group of investors led by Gurgaon-based YourNest Angel Fund.
Founded in 2013, aahaa is an online office superstore for all indirect product purchases and a preeminent strategic supplier to IT companies, manufacturers and financial institutions. The leadership includes Asokan Sattanathan (Chairman), Rajaraman Sundaresan (CEO) and Harish Kannan (COO).
Sunil Goyal, founder & CEO of YourNest said, “The emergence of the office supplies or ‘indirect’ spend management space is witnessing a lot of action now. In a short time, aahaa has managed to get the attention of large companies who operate out of several locations within the country.”
The startup will utilise the fresh infusion of funds to fuel market expansion, enhance its technology & infrastructure and for team expansion.
Through aahaa customers can easily order through an online portal, and get the product delivered to their location. Prominent product categories supplied by the startup include-:
- Stationery: Pre-printed and Desktop
- Housekeeping and Facilities Management Products
- IT, Electronics, Appliances and Accessories
- Brand Display Products
- Logo Merchandise for Employees and Dealers (e-store)
- Custom-made products, imported merchandise, assets and corporate gifts
The startup currently has over 50 customers across manufacturing, technology and banking verticals including Wipro, TCS, Ashok Leyland, Michelin, Titan, Karur Vysya Bank and Cholamandalam Finance. It is headquartered in Chennai with offices and warehouses in Chennai, Bangalore, Pune and Gurgaon.
Earlier this week, Noida-based Momark Services, a mobile app-based customer engagement platform and mobile wallet aggregator raised $600K in pre Series-A funding led by YourNest Angel Fund. Other investments by YourNest include – Smart Software, Arya.ai, Mumbai-based Bestdealfinance, Simpli5D Technologies, etc.
