“Founders Meetup is definitely an evening well spent with creative & youthful folks. The enthusiasm & engagement level of the audience at the event is infectious.”

Brijesh Agrawal, cofounder and director, IndiaMART, is just one of the many names, from the prominent startups of India, to join a gathering of early-stage startups and entrepreneurs at Inc42 HQ for an evening of networking and conversations.

Over the course of ten editions, Founders Meetup has crossed over from Delhi and gone over to other cities such as Hyderabad, thanks to popular demand from the startup ecosystem. During this journey, we have hosted many prominent names from the Indian startup ecosystem, who took time out to meet aspiring and early-stage entrepreneurs. Discussing their journey, challenges, successes and failures, we have hosted the likes of IndiaMART cofounder Agarwal, Nitin Saluja, founder and CEO, Chaayos, Rahul Singh, founder and CEO, The Beer Cafe and more.

This time we are doubling our efforts to bring to you the last Founders Meetup for the financial year 2019-20. This edition is to be held on March 12 on the fifth floor of Inc42 HQ.

Founders Meetup: Ending FY20 On A High

This financial year was full of many ups and downs for the startup ecosystem of India, be it the Union Budget that saw mixed reactions from the startup community, or the economic slowdown in India. Thanks to these factors, the struggles of early-stage entrepreneurs only went a notch higher.

While Inc42 has always focussed providing some relief to break the monotony, Founders Meetup takes a different approach and helps address some of these challenges directly. Catering to the early-stage entrepreneur community, the endeavour is to help aspiring founders in their journey.

Every speaker at this event has brought something new to the table to help new founders. While Rahul Singh advised the founders to not get dejected with failures saying, “Success is defined by going from one failure to another with the same enthusiasm and that is what I actually believe in,” Nitin Saluja advised them to not take too many leaps of faith in their entrepreneurial journey.

Brijesh Agrawal brought to the fore, the importance of a strong team, “Focus more on team, operations and processes as they define and help your business,” and Vivek Singh, cofounder, Dineout spoke about trusting your idea and dream, “You will find 1000 reasons to not do it. There is only one reason to do it, which is ‘because you want to make it happen’.”

For this edition of the meetup, we are calling all our past attendees as well as those who haven’t attended this event before to join us at our HQ, as we host Ritesh Malik, founder, Innov8 for a fireside chat, moderated by Inc42 cofounder and CEO, Vaibhav Vardhan.

Starting off with a dream to become a doctor, Malik has donned many hats and done justice to many roles that piqued his interest. It was while studying to become a doctor that he took an interest in Marketing Science course at the London School of Economics.

Soon he ventured into entrepreneurship with his company, Adstuck, whose flagship AR app (ALIVE) was eventually sold to Bennet & Coleman. Malik then went on to enrol himself for a management course at Harvard University, and around the same time, he started angel investing.

His angel stints aside, his passion project of coworking, Innov8, was acquired by OYO last year in a deal worth INR 220 Cr. He is now managing Innov8 under the brand OYO.

This edition of Founders Meetup is hosting this inspiring and multi-talented stakeholder of the Indian startup ecosystem. The early bird price for the Founders Meetup on March 12—supported by our annual partners NetApp, HSBC, Times Internet, Paytm and AWS—is INR 499, while the entry fee will increase to INR 999 after this introductory offer period.

Don’t miss out this opportunity to network, connect, learn and unwind at Founders Meetup 2020. Book a slot before the prices go up or the seats are full.
