Mentor Hours has been one of our earliest programmes at 91springboard and it has enabled one-on-one custom mentorship that startups and entrepreneurs can receive from experienced mentors and entrepreneurs.

That being said, this is our way of taking this from a one-on-one interaction to a one-to-many interaction.

Here’s one of the cofounders of 91springboard, Varun Chawla, on what to look for in a co-founder.

Somebody who’s willing to take the same plunge and the same risk you’re taking. Basically, their aptitude for risk and their desire to devote a healthy part of their lives, and their existence to the business is fundamental.

They should also have a complementary skill set to yours so that they can pick up the pieces when you’re weak and vice versa.

They should be people you can see yourself 5-10 years down the line working with because inevitably if your startup is to survive, it’s going to be a minimum of a 10 year journey.

In a nutshell:

  • People you can see yourself working with 10 years from now.
  • People who have the same fire in the belly as you.
  • People with a complementary skill set to your own.
