British Internet-based market research group, YouGov, is finally out with its list of top 10 brands of 2019 across the world and the Internet search giant Google has topped the Indian list. The new lists also had some new entrants like mobile maker OnePlus and Taj hotels & Palaces are some new entrants in the Indian list.

The research group has analysed over 38 markets in the new report, announcing a separate result for each of these markets. Out of these 38 reports, Google has been amongst the top 10 brands in 11 markets. In the India ranking Google was followed by OnePlus and MakeMyTrip, which stood at the second and third place.

Due to all the controversies like traceability court case, Pegasus spyware and a few other privacy breaches, WhatsApp slipped to the fourth spot from the previous third in India. The instant messaging app was followed by US-based ecommerce giant Amazon and video streaming platform YouTube. However, WhatsApp has made it to Top 10 brands in over 10 countries

Taj Hotel and Palaces was the seventh most recommended brand, followed by food aggregator Swiggy, hotel chain Marriott and traveltech company Airbnb. Airbnb dropped by six points from rank four to rank ten.
