The Angel Summit, a one-day global conference that brings together inspiring women in tech, business, arts, sports, and politics is back.
The summit brings together innovative and inspiring women across the globe to discuss, debate, inspire, and turn ideas that matter into action. It showcases inspiring journeys of progressive women, success stories, breakthrough dialogue on women in entrepreneurship, and stimulating panel discussions.
In short, the summit is a catalyst for female-led businesses and leadership that connects them with industry specific mentors and funding.
The Summit will also host a competition for the startups wherein the top 10 women led startup will pitch onstage at The Angel Summit. The competition will be judged by a panel of Venture Capital Firms like Saha Fund, Unitus Seed Fund, Cross Border Angels, Industry leaders, and Angel Investors.
Who Can Apply?
- Startups having a female founder or have at least one female co-founder in the team
- Startups should be operating in business, technology, arts, film or media domain.
The Angel Summit is scheduled to be held in six cities including Mumbai, Madrid, Istanbul, and Singapore in the year 2016. In Delhi, the summit is scheduled for May 7, 2016, at FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi.
Founded by Sita Pallacholla and Kiran Maverick, The Angel Summit is a part of Angel Hub, an initiative that focuses on education, mentorship, and acceleration for women. It is an umbrella of initiatives focused on providing growth platforms for female entrepreneurs, building access to industry specific mentorship, and facilitating tech education for young women.
The summit has a line up of speakers like Dr. Kiran Bedi (India’s first woman IPS officer), Shereen Bhan (Managing Editor CNBC -TV18), Debjani Ghosh (Managing Director, Intel), Malini Agarwal (Founder, MissMalini.com), Suchi Mukherjee (Founder, Limeroad), Padmashree Kalpana Saroj (CEO, Kamini Tubes), Ira Singhal (IAS), Priya Maheshwari (Founder, Properji) and Upasana Taku (Co-founder, MobiKwik), and a host of other inspiring names from sports, film and media.
