With Over 50 Mn Users In Its Basket, Alibaba Backed Paytm Unveils Wallet App For iOS

Alibaba backed, One97′s flagship brand, Paytm has announced the launch of its new wallet application for iOS devices. This move will allow iOS users to download the brand new Paytm Wallet App and use it for money transfer, request money, and securely store their money online and do shopping and payments.

The mobile wallet services is currently used by over 50 Mn users for mobile payments, recharging mobile, DTH and data card. The platform has also unveiled two new features – Slide To Pay & Request Money from Anybody – in the app.

SLIDE TO PAY

Slide To Pay is an user friendly feature! With this, you can transfer money to your friends wallet by simply sliding right. Upon sliding right, the payment will be initiated. You can use it for anybody, who has a Paytm Wallet.

REQUEST MONEY –

Every time you transfer money or receive money, it will become a part of a CHAT conversation. You can send reminder messages to anyone and easily type replies to your friends.

The company has also launched WALLET STATEMENT feature, which will allow its users to organise their payments and let them see all transactions in one place. Besides, the saved cards feature is also added designed to let you make payments, without having to enter your credit or debit card information each time again.

 

The users can also get the best deals while they do mobile shopping from over 15,000 partners, such as UBER, BookMyShow and MakeMyTrip, said company statement.

Founded in 2010, the online payment platform presently offers a marketplace for mobile applications including mobile recharge, utility bill payments and inter-wallet and wallet-to-bank money transfers. The company recently announced that it has 50 Mn wallets on its platform which it further plans to take to 100 Mn by the end of this year. Recently, it had launched a dedicated app for sellers to connect small businesses and consumers, which will work on zero commission model. Besides, Government-owned railway ticketing platform IRCTC has also added Paytm’s wallet as an online payment option.
