It was June 24. Ravi and I were discussing to post our newly launched Meed Talent on Product Hunt.

Meed Talent is our newly launched enterprise product for attracting and hiring top student talent for full-time, part-time, and internship jobs. Being a community lover and enabler, I thought to put it up on Product Hunt last Friday, we got the surprise and pleasure to be featured on there.

For those who don’t know about this platform yet, it’s essentially a community board where people can come and discover new tech products daily.

Being active in this tech community since a long time, I know you get this opportunity only once in your life. Therefore, you should be prepared for it and extract maximum out of this opportunity.

Growth Hacking is not magic. It is all about doing small events at regular intervals and getting the best out of every event.

So, We have decided to import our contact list and decided to drop personalized note to every one about the launch of our new product. Here is the sample of one mail I have used :

While thinking around some random ideas, I started playing with some hashtags on Twitter. I started jumping into conversations to get review of our new product using those hashtags. It all ended up in lines and lines of very interesting conversation.

We’re trying to build transformational technology that values skills more than general parameters like GPA and university degrees.

In short, I can summarize the reason of launching your product on Product Hunt in this way :

1. Best platform to get your early adopters of your product

2. You will get a lot of user feedback to find the different verticals of your product.

3. You will get your a lot of evangelists for your product.

4. In the end but most important. You will get a lot of traction from here.

To us, Product Hunt is like a more interactive and product oriented version of Wikipedia. The creators of Product Hunt really know what they’re doing and we’re extremely grateful for the product they have created. It was an honor to receive so many upvotes, to be featured, and to converse with our audience. We truly feel that we gained and learned a lot from the experience.

Thanks Ryan for building such a beautiful community.
