Vishal Gondal’s smart fitness band GOQii has raised angel funding from WhatsApp’s Neeraj Arora, Marco Argenti, VP Amazon Web Services – Mobile.
Vishal Gondal said,

GOQii’s other investors include Madhuri Dixit Nene, Amit Singhal of Google, Goutam Godhwani of SimplyHired, Prashant Gulati a serial entrepreneur, tech evangelist and startup mentor.

After months of closed beta testing, GOQii announced commercial launch last week on August 1st.
There are other similar players in the market like Nike Fuels, FitBit & Samsung’s Galaxy Gear Fit. GOQii which was Vishal Gondal, former CEO of IndiaGames and MD of UTV Digital India is one step ahead of all these devices because of its USP that it comes with a personalised coach. It track one’s daily activities, calories burned, and connects them with the experts and the coaches through a app.
GOQii charges subscription plans for access to its coaches, which are available over pre-scheduled calls or instant messenger. Currently, GOQii charges INR 6,999 for a six – months subscription or INR 11,999 for an annual subscription.
