The Startup India initiative by PM Narendra Modi marked the advent of government support towards startups. Following suit, a lot of organisations came forward to support the ideas buzzing in the minds of young entrepreneurs.
As a part of the Startupreneur Series, MindBatteries, launched the ‘Chase Your Dreams Contest’ to boost the startup ecosystem at an individual level.
In the first episode of the series, Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma was interviewed, who is offering an investment of $145K (INR 1 Cr) to the winning startup. Apart from the winning amount, 5 selected candidates will get an opportunity to be mentored by Sharma. The startups also stand a chance to get an incubation opportunity and a co-working space.
As a part of ‘Startupreneur Series’, around 15 entrepreneurs from India, China and Silicon Valley will be interviewed. The Series is inspired by the opportunities that Internet is bringing and how entrepreneurs are changing the way we travel, eat, shop and live. It aims to capture the journey of top entrepreneurs of the world in a fun, candid manner to inspire young people to think big. At the end of each interview, the entrepreneur will contribute to the growth of startup ecosystem as the episodes will be followed by a contest.
The Chase Your Dreams Contest is for students, individuals and startups and the minimum age to register for the contest is 16 years. The contest has a registration fee of INR 1000. The participants will be judged on the basis of the core concept, team and scalability opportunities of the idea.
