With an aim to groom and mentor Indian startups for investments rounds, the finacial advisory firm, ValPro has launched Enablersinvestment.com to facilitate startups and SMEs for seed round and Series A funding. The firm has partnered with Nasscom’s 10,000 Startups initiative, SIDBI Innovation and Incubation Centre, IIT-Kanpur for the foundation.

Enablersinvestment.com is a web-based deal platform that helps startups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to connect with HNIs, Angels and Venture Capital Funds for fundraising.

The tech startup program started by Nasscom under the name “10,000 Startups” also seeks partnership with a few boutique consulting firms to support early stage startups on their business and funding aspects. This initiative leads advisory firms to fill the gap and make entrepreneurs investor-ready by helping them through various stages of fund raising.

Speaking on the move, Manish Malik, who looks after M&A, deal execution and PE at ValPro said,  “Currently, we are beta-testing the platform and 15 companies are under review for addition to the platform. Often we find that startups are not completely investor-ready and we help them choose between a pure-play investor and strategic funding which can open up a larger network for these young enterprises.”

The company also claims to have around 25 HNIs ready to invest and have also been approached by a development fund for investment in social enterprises.

Enablersinvestment.com will charge a listing fee of INR 30,000 for reviewing startups profiles and grooming. If the startup is not accepted for listing for funds, the money is refunded. The platform also charges about 2% of the deal amount from the startups which get funded through its network of investors.

Another enabler Empowerstartups.in works on subscription-fee model for the services provided or take a stake in the company on a par with angel investors in the range of 5-10% for the services.
