After Bangalore – Delhi – Hyderabad, now the Secret Ubers are riding into another city – and this time it’s Chennai. Karun Chandhok, India’s very own Formula One racer, got the first peek of Uber in the city.

Like always, over the next few weeks, Uber will be in “secret testing mode” in the city and thus the availability will be limited, but the team will be working hard to make more cars available.

Initially Uber Chennai will offer Mercedes E-Class, Toyota Altis and BMW 5 Series with Base fare of ₨ 50.00 + ₨ 2.00 per minute/₨ 15.00 per kilometer. The customer would require to pay Rs 100 in case of a cancellation.

The company is expected to launch its services in Mumbai as well.

In India a few other companies dealing in the same space include Olacabs, TaxiForSure, Savaari Car Rentals, Zoom etc.
