Times Internet Acquires Coupon Service CouponDunia, TimesDeal To Merge With It

Times Internet has recently acquired Mumbai based couponing service CouponDunia for an undisclosed amount. Led by Sameer Parwani, CouponDunia receives over 2 Mn visits a month and is currently serving coupons from more than 1500 online brands, and with over 1 Mn subscribers.


CouponDunia will retain its distinct brand identity and will continue to operate under the leadership of CEO Sameer Parwani, who will work closely with Times Internet and other Times of India Group companies. Times Internet incubated, TimesDeal, will merge into CouponDunia.

“Sameer has built an incredibly strong business as a bootstrapping entrepreneur. More importantly, consumers trust CouponDunia to have the latest and most accurate coupons that help them make decisions on how and where to spend online, and is driving Rs 500 Cr worth of purchases annually,” said Satyan Gajwani, CEO of Times Internet. “We want to see CouponDunia grow to continue to deliver that value to everyone,” he added.

Founded 4 years back, CouponDunia is live today across web, mobile web, email, social media, and SMS. CouponDunia also run CupomWorld in Brazil, KuponDunya in Turkey, KodyBony in Poland, and CouponDunia Indonesia.
