Bengaluru-based AI startup Thesys has secured $4 Mn (about INR 33.7 Cr) in a seed funding round led by Together Fund. The round also saw participation from 8vc.
The startup plans to use the funding to build its platform to help enterprises ideate, visualise, and ship intelligent AI-driven interfaces which adapt to the needs of the users in real time.
Founded earlier this year by Rabi Shanker Guha and Parikshit Deshmukh, Thesys is focused on streamlining design workflows and speeding up launch timelines for teams working on AI-enhanced user interfaces.
Thesys’ core product, the “Generative UI” platform, helps businesses build interfaces that can respond and adjust to individual user behaviour, unlocking new levels of customisation.
“The platform allows teams to launch dynamic, AI-driven interfaces, delivering high-quality experiences 4x faster. This streamlined approach accelerates go-to-market timelines and gives businesses an edge with engaging, adaptive user experiences that transform customer connections,” cofounder Deshmukh said.
Commenting on the funding, Together Fund managing partner Manav Garg said, “Thesys’s vision for Generative UI aligns perfectly with Together Fund’s commitment to enabling founders who are redefining the user experience. By empowering teams to create real-time, personalised interactions, Thesys is setting a new standard for AI-driven interfaces.”
It is pertinent to note that a number of task specific AI models have emerged lately. As foundational models continue to evolve, companies are finding that models trained on specific tasks or functions are much more effective and cost efficient than deploying a foundational model.
As a result, there has been an uptick in the funding of startups offering such services. For instance, Hyderabad-based AI startup Pulse raised $1.4 Mn (about INR 11.8 Cr) in a seed funding round led by Endiya Partners earlier today.
Recently, accounting and bookkeeping platform Febi.ai raised $2 Mn from Lumis Partners, former JP Morgan executive Virender Rana, and Lenskart cofounder Amit Chaudhary. In September, legal tech startup Jhana.ai also raised $1.6 Mn in its ongoing maiden funding round.
Notably, at the start of this year, Ola’s Krutrim AI became the first AI unicorn of India with a funding of $50 Mn.
According to Inc42’s GenAI Startup Landscape Report, India has more than 100 generative AI startups which have collectively raised more than $600 Mn since 2019. India’s GenAI market is expected to see a major boom in the coming years and is projected to cross the $17 Bn mark by 2030.
