Few months back, we had covered the very sensational and evil Facebook application, Bang with Friends that attracted great media attention and user’s interest. The site had claimed to register 5 users a minute touching a user base of 30,000 in its first week of launch.

Bang with Friends helps you find the people in your social circles with a mutual interest in hooking up. Read more about the app and its growing popularity, check out our previous coverage about it here. This Facebook app has been on the steep growth since its inception, recording over 820,000 users and matching about 200,000 couples.

While, most investors would not prefer to put their money on an app that is so controversial, Bang with Friends ‘anonymous’ founders have received seed funding of $1 Million catching the online netizens off guard.

According to a report by BusinessInsider, Bang with Friends have found their investors in Tim Draper and Great Oaks Venture Capital. While, most investors found the deal stupid and irrational, the app always had great initial traction for such a casual product.

While, the founders have remained anonymous till now (understandably to avoid social ire). But, in their recent interviews have expressed great confidence in their product. Using, a powerful medium like Facebook to network the users, the application has tapped on the overtly weak online dating system.

As everyone had expected, the application has not been received well by a large chuck of the society – primarily the religious groups. Many have ended up describing it as unethical and baneful. But on the contrary, the app seems to me, as the most direct way of hooking up with people.

As the founders say, “Our mission is sex positive”.

Do you think there is any revenue potential or future for Bang with Friends? What do you think of the funding? Do comment below.
