TechXchange, a programme aimed to provide exposure to Indian startups at a global marketplace, is all set to give a boost to global startup community by providing a platform to Indian startups to interact with international stakeholders. This is an initiative under the India UK Partnership programme of 2018.

The event will be jointly organised by the High Commission of India and Indian business organisation FICCI UK in London between 16 to 20 September 2019. Around 15 startups have been selected to attend the five-day event.

The five-day programme will witness meeting with UK Government agencies, market meeting, attendees interaction and network development, techXchange summit and meetups with startup ecosystem players.

The event will also be attended by internationally renowned businessmen, investors, decision-makers, partners, venture capitalists.. This programme is the second edition of the techXchange, which was launched in June 2018 by the High Commissioner of India in the UK in London.

The event is supported by the partner state Government of Gujarat, Reliance Industries, ICICI-UK, London & Partners, BDO, Level 39, techUK, IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association of India).

Before selection, the startups went through a four-part qualifying round, which tested the uniqueness of the product or service, global utilisation, initial funding and at least INR 1 Cr annual turnover.

In the preparation of the event, the High Commission had also organised a pre-departure networking event on August 17, 2019, at Rise Mumbai. The event was opened by, a representative from High Commission of India, British Deputy High Commissioner Peter Cook, FICCI-UK Director Dr. Param Shah and techXchange India Co-Chair Sunil R Parekh. The event was attended by the invited startups and founders from the 2018 cohort.
