Meet The Top 7 Startups From Nasscom 10,000 Startups’ #TechMarch2016 Hyderabad Edition

Nasscom 10,000 Startups recently announced TechMarch – an initiative to bring together smart hardware startups driving innovation. The programme includes an eight-city tour to invite applications from startups in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Cochin, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Kolkata.

So far, 300+ applications have been received. The Bengaluru city tour took place on 26th September wherein 14 startups were selected for the final event.

The next stop in the series was Hyderabad, which the Nasscom 10,000 Startups’ team reached on September 28. Seven selected hardware startups from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, and Tamil Nadu did demos along with some students who showcased their products as well.

This was followed by a roadshow to Spoorthi Engineering College, engineering design prototype studio at ESCI, L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) Innovation Lab, and IIIT Makerspace.

Here Are The Selected Startups From The TechMarch Roadshow In Hyderabad:

yzThings: Formerly known as Sentrol Systems, yzThings is a USB charging port supporting multiple profiles and sits off the shelf switch panels. It works on the theme, “DC powered smart living!”. The team is on a mission to transform conventional ways of living by making it more eco-friendly, productive, and futuristic.

Imaginate: It is an augmented reality-based technology enterprise that offers innovative visualisation products and services which enhance the consumer experience of reality across retail, advertising and entertainment. Products include Dres.sy, a collaborative platform to enable fashion shoppers to virtually try out clothes and also share the experience on social networks; GiftAR, a mobile gifting app for virtual video message augmented on physical pictures; FirstShow, an application-based AR platform to show movie trailers on printed posters or digital posters; and LivAR for enabling open liver surgery using augmented reality.

Hug Innovations: The Hug smartwatch is the world’s first gesture control smartwatch designed to keep the user safe and healthy, and to help interact with the digital world using smart gestures. Hug Smartwatch was unveiled at Microsoft Future Unleashed last year. This smartwatch is capable of flying drones, navigating smart televisions, and controlling virtual reality-based applications through hand gestures.

Manjeera Digital Systems: MDS has designed a state-of-the-art processor, the Universal Multifunction Accelerator (UMA), that is fundamentally a new and breakthrough computing approach. In simple terms, the UMA allows to save on power and can play a host of video formats that are not currently supported by mobile phones.

Basil Energetics Pvt Ltd: Basil Energetics Private Limited is a company totally focused on the Smart Micro Grid using Hybrid Appliances. Combining renewable energy like PV, PICO Hydel, Micro Wind and Biogas, super efficient DC appliances have been developed by the startup.

Endless Robotics: It is a robotics startup developing automation solutions for applying paint and coatings in construction and industrial applications to ensure superior efficiency, safer work environments, reduced costs, and precise consistency. Endless Robotics aims to design and develop a new wave of robotic products that help businesses, institutes, and consumers adapt and leverage futuristic technologies of computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to make work and life better.

Mooshic Labs: A credit card form ECG Monitor.

As a part of the programme, startups will be provided with technical, marketing, and financial support, and leadership skills to build their applications and businesses. They will also be connected to industry leaders (CEOs, thought leaders, VCs, ecosystem evangelists, social change leaders), and funders. The winning team will be get funding support from Kalaari capital.

The journey will continue to Cochin (October 1), Mumbai (October 3), Ahmedabad (October 5), NCR (October 8), Coimbatore (October 15) and Kolkata (October 18). The finale will be held on October 26, 2016 on the sidelines of National Product Conclave in Bengaluru.
