Nasscom 10,000 Startups recently announced TechMarch – an initiative to bring together smart hardware startups driving innovation. The programme includes an eight-city tour to invite applications from startups in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Cochin, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Kolkata.

So far, 300+ applications have been received and 21 startups have already been selected from Bengaluru (14) and Hyderabad (7).

The next stop in the series was Cochin, which the Nasscom 10,000 Startups’ team reached on October 1.  The day was marked by an insightful discussion at Nasscom Startup Warehouse on the hardware industry and how initiatives like Startup Village and Kerala Startup Mission played a role in it.

The selected Hlhardware startups did a demo (Mature + Student startups) in areas which covered telecommunication, neurotech, complete embedded systems along with agritech products.

The roadshow started with a visit at FabLab Rieti, Startup Village and bumped into connected car startup founder Sunil Vallath from Exploride . It ended with a drop in at Google’s event followed by a discussion with bunch of students.

Here Are The Selected Startups From The TechMarch Roadshow In Cochin:

MadLabs: The company mainly focusses on data transfer technology with its product FastShift – a storage device which can transfer files without the need of a computer medium to any other storage device . The data is transferred using laser, keeping the users at long distance for security purpose.

Kinemach Engineering And Machines Pvt Ltd: The startup has invented a unique technology which is ecofriendly and multiutility for land preparation in farming. It also provides R&D services to companies to help develop new machines. It aims to grow as a R&D services provider and a one-stop solution for agro and food -processing machines.

Ronds Innotech Pvt. Ltd: It aims to provide reliable and cost effective real time remote management solutions which do not require Internet/GPRS.  It offers a plug and play solution, rmC+, which enables it to communicate over GSM without using Internet/GPRS. The company also provides products such as Smart solar inverter, solar DC home system, wireless power sockets and more.

Neona Embedded Labz: The startup aims to be a one-stop solution for embedded product design and development requirements. Its product is an AOA bridge (an Android Open Accessory Protocol) for Android running devices, to enable the connectivity of Android system to different devices used in industrial IoT over USB. Some of the device examples are fingerprint sensor, thermal printer, magnetic swipe reader etc.

Sastra Robotics India Pvt Ltd: Sastra is a robotics company focussed on the manufacturing of robotic manipulators and smart robots. They are currently delivering a solution for automating Human Machine interface(HMI) testing; including touch-screens, buttons, knobs, etc; thereby increasing the efficiency of the testing and the team, also reducing the time and cost associated with it.

NeuroTech: It is an electronics hardware startup working in the domain of brain computers and smart wearables. Its flagship product Neurobuds – the brainwave-mapping smart earphones- analyses brain wave data of user and seamlessly integrates them with the smartphone to run real world applications.

The journey will continue to Mumbai (October 3), Ahmedabad (October 5), NCR (October 8), Coimbatore (October 15) and Kolkata (October 18). The finale will be held on October 26, 2016 on the sidelines of National Product Conclave in Bengaluru.
