With the aim to build domain-specific solutions leveraging newage technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G, India’s technology giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), on Wednesday, launched an innovation hub in Hyderabad.
According to a Livemint report, the hub will be created with the support from US-based tech major Qualcomm Technologies. Moreover, the hub is expected to help global enterprises across various industries to accelerate their digital transformation journeys.
Speaking about the launch, V Rajanna, Global Head, Technology Business Unit, TCS said that the convergence of newage technologies such as 5G, AI and edge computing will open up a horizon of opportunities for value creation in industrial automation, autonomous vehicles, and other industries.
TCS claimed that with the hub designed to facilitate massive data flows with low latency and ultra-high reliability, many industries are set to transform in the near future.
Rajanna further added that the innovation hub will help to unlock the potential of innovative solutions in the emerging tech space to help enterprises in their businesses.
Enabling Enterprises To Build Innovative Solutions
Enterprises joining the hub will get access to TCS’ expertise in digital technologies. Additionally, Qualcomm Technologies will help these companies to leverage technologies such as 5G, AI, and edge devices to build solutions for entirely new use-cases.
Moreover, the hub is expected to go beyond the regular use-case of these technologies and will explore opportunities for their usage in sectors such as healthcare, automotive, manufacturing, retail, utilities.
TCS said that the solutions developed at the hub will work towards embracing new business models, offer innovative products and value-added services. It will also work for finding solutions to improve customer experience and finding new revenue streams.
In addition to this innovative hub in Hyderabad, TCS has also launched TCS iON, an AI command centre in Chennai, last month, to monitor over six thousand examination venues across the country in real-time.
