Talent Platform FlexiBees Bags Pre-Series A Funding To Boost Employment Of Women Professionals

FlexiBees, a talent curation platform, has raised undisclosed Pre-Series A funding led by Inflection Point Ventures.

The funds will be used to enhance their tech infrastructure and AI, and to expand their market presence. FlexiBees, founded by Shreya Prakash, Rashmi Rammohan, and Deepa Swami, connects vetted women professionals with businesses.

FlexiBees aims to create more employment opportunities for women, with a strong 70% repeat client rate. The flexible work market in India grew by 15.3% in FY 2023-24.

Talent curation platform FlexiBees has secured an undisclosed capital in its Pre-Series A funding exercise led by Inflection Point Ventures.

The round also saw participation from a clutch of other investors, including ride hailing service Namma Yatri’s chief operating officer Shan M S and Indian Women in Dubai’s founder Reema Mahajan among others.

The company plans to deploy the fresh proceeds to boost its technological infrastructure, refine AI algorithms and expand market presence.

Founded in 2017 by Shreya Prakash, Rashmi Rammohan and Deepa Swami, FlexiBees connects businesses with vetted women professionals for part time, project based and remote roles. 

The platform boasts a network of over 60,000 professionals and has served more than 700 businesses globally, including major firms like Kimberly-Clark Professional and Tata Realty, as well as high-growth startups such as Qapita and Creditmantri.

“Our objective is to scale our operations to generate employment opportunities and improve employability for millions of women professionals currently outside the full-time workforce,” Prakash said.

The startup’s vetting technology claims to ensure high-quality matches, with 70% of business coming from repeat clients. 

FlexiBees offers a broad range of roles such as sales, digital marketing, finance, HR, and technology, significantly reducing hiring time by 90%.

Vikram Ramasubramaniam, partner at Inflection Point Ventures, said, “FlexiBees addresses flexibility by offering part-time, project-based, and remote jobs, enabling professionals to manage both their personal and professional lives effectively.”

The global flexible work market has seen significant growth, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In India, the flexible staffing industry grew by 15.3% year-on-year in the fiscal year 2023-24, creating 220,000 flexible jobs. This growth is driven by sectors such as ecommerce, logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and energy.
