Banking on the growing demand for fast food and beverage deliveries, foodtech platform Swiggy has now launched its quick food delivery app SNACC in Noida and Gurugram.
Earlier this year, SNACC was rolled out to serve select pincodes in Bengaluru, delivering quick bites, beverages and meals in 15 minutes.
On its home page, the SNACC app displays a comment saying “ We’re still expanding,” when a user tries to add an address from any other city.
Via SNACC app, Swiggy claims to deliver a wide range of products across food and beverages, including snacks, breakfast specials, tea, coffee cold beverages, dessert and fruit bowls, among others.
“After a great response in Bengaluru, we have now launched our services in Noida and Gurugram- corporate hubs with a large urban population, especially youth. We are confident that we will soon emerge as the go-to app for customers in the two cities. We will continue to add more offerings to our app in the coming times,” said Satheesh Raman, business head of SNACC.
To note, Swiggy previously had the option of Cafe under its home app, where it experimented with quick deliveries in the food segment last year.
Following which, the company also rolled out a feature in its primary food delivery platform called Bolt, that delivers food, snacks and beverages from restaurants and QSR (quick service restaurant) chains within 2 km radius of the consumer location, in under 10 minutes.
Bolt is still operational and active in six cities, namely Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Pune.
The development comes at a time when the competition has been growing stronger in the quick delivery space across various product segments and investors are willing to make their bets on the new players emerging in the quick commerce space, to offer services at challenging timelines.
For instance, Bengaluru-based Swish raised about $14 Mn from Accel, Hara Global, and Unacademy founder Gaurav Munjal, a month ago.
Meanwhile, Zing is another competitor that has emerged in the quick food delivery space that is eyeing to scale its operations to 100 kitchens in the next one year and entering Bengaluru and other cities in the Delhi NCR.
