Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if their startup ideas are viable. On an average, half of Startup Weekend’s attendees have a technical or design background, the other half have business backgrounds.
“Birds of a feather flock together”, but at Startup Weekends, you do more than mere “flocking”, you create your destiny with your own hands.
Let no trepidation keep you down, even if you fall short of that amazing idea for now, you could make the most of this event. Beginning with open mic pitches on Friday, attendees bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team. Over Saturday and Sunday teams focus on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing LEAN Startup Methodologies and building a minimal viable product. Sounds fun? Well, the fun has just begun!
On Sunday evening teams demo their prototypes and receive valuable feedback from a panel of experts.

Taking up a challenge from COO Adam Stelle, Hyderabad is going to host the next Startup Weekend on November 17th to be a part of the Global Startup Battle!
We are going to represent India in the Global Startup Battle. So come on people! Let us show the world the real spirit of a true indefatigable Indian entrepreneur!

Startup Weekend Hyderabad is back again. The winner of the last Startup Weekend event conducted in ISB, Happy Hours has applied for the Startup Chile Accelerator Program.
We were waiting for a good time to do the next Startup Weekend event as the demand has been really good. We had the COO of Startup Weekend Adam Stelle come all the way to India last month. He announced the global startup battle in November where more than 150 events across the world happen in parallel and there was no entry from India. Hang on Sir! As Indians, we can’t help but participate at anything worthwhile that too on an international scale, after all, aren’t we the original propagators of the “Vashudhaiv Kutumbakam” (The world is a family) concept? How can India not have a representation in a Global Startup Battle, it becomes irresistible to avoid such a competition where we get to display our notorious perspicacity. So it was decided, we would have an event in Hyderabad.
As part of the global Startup Battle we are having a Startup Weekend in Hyderabad on November 16th this time at the Progress Software Hyderabad office. The winner gets automatic entry into the Global Startup Battle. There are lots of other global prizes, including (hold your breath), a trip to the exotic Rio.
