The gaming and esports pavilion at the Startup Mahakumbh – a first-of-its-kind event bringing together the entire startup ecosystem of India, including startups, investors, incubators and accelerators, and industry leaders from several sectors – will not only cater to the passion of gamers but also highlight the career opportunities for them.

The Startup Mahakumbh, which will be held from March 18-20 in New Delhi, is being organised by ASSOCHAM, Nasscom, Bootstrap Incubation & Advisory Foundation, TiE, and Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA).

It will feature mentorship clinics, pitch competitions, and a multi-track conference featuring leadership talks, panel discussions and workshops.

The three-day event is expected to host 1K+ startups, 10+ thematic tracks, 1K+ investors, 500+ incubators & accelerators, 5000+ conference delegates, 10+ country delegations, and 40,000+ business visitors.

With the central theme’ Bharat Innovates’, the event will also have sector-focused pavilions, including gaming and esports, to showcase India’s most innovative startups.

The gaming and esports pavilion will be led by JetSynthesys founder and CEO Rajan R Navani and its chief strategy officer Girish Menon.

JetSynthesys boasts an impressive portfolio of gaming and esports products, including its flagship titles Real Cricket, GEPL, and Sachin Saga.

“The esports pavilion isn’t just about showing games – it’s a deep dive into the entire esports ecosystem. We’ll showcase the games themselves, of course, but also the athletes who compete, the producers who bring it all to life, and the influencers who shape the culture. You’ll even see the creativity of cosplay artists. Plus, brands can discover how to tap into new audiences,” said Navani.

Redefining The Digital Playfield

The gaming and esports pavilion will host two esports events – ‘Real Cricket 24’ and ‘Sachin Saga’ – and a career masterclass.

Real Cricket serves as a bridge between virtual and physical gameplay. With 300 Mn+ downloads and 100 Mn unique users, it has solidified its position as a top game in India.

Meanwhile, Sachin Saga features over 200+ iconic matches of cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, diverse game modes, and stunning stadiums worldwide. JetSynthesys claims it is the first-ever mobile cricket game to have a manual catching mechanism.

The pavilion will also feature the launch announcement of Global eCricket Premier League (GEPL) Season 2. The GEPL claims to be the largest team-based cricket esports and entertainment league in the world, which also delivers top-tier content for viewers.

“Financial incentives like prize money and recognition as athletes are major drivers for the esports industry. These rewards not only fuel competition but also act as a springboard for players to transition into content creation and secure lucrative brand deals and sponsorships, solidifying esports as a viable career path. This presents a golden opportunity for India to leapfrog established markets if it can nurture these factors while the esports scene is still young and brimming with potential,” said Navani.

Rohit Potphode, CEO and league commissioner of GEPL and president of esports at JetSynthesys, will unveil the Season 2 of GEPL at the pavilion on March 18, along with the leadership team of JetSynthesys.

The pavilion will also host investor meetings to boost collaborations in the sector.

Finally, there will be a career masterclass on March 20 with industry professionals such as Anuj Mankar (CEO of Nautilus), Rohit Jagasia (CEO of Team Revenant) and Sriram Vishaal (esports manager at Skyesports) and Menon to provide valuable insights into opportunities within the gaming and esports fields.
