Approximately 2K startups, 50+ unicorns, 3K+ conference delegates, 10+ country delegations, and 50K+ business visitors are expected to attend the three-day event

Industry bodies ASSOCHAM, Nasscom, Bootstrap Incubation & Advisory Foundation, TiE, and Indian Venture and Alternate Capital Association (IVCA) are organising 

Startup Mahakumbh’, is a first-of-its-kind event, to bring together startups, investors, incubators, accelerators and industry leaders from several sectors under one roof.

The event will be held from March 18-20 in New Delhi and will cover AI+SaaS, D2C/ consumer brands, agritech, fintech and many more sectors. Notably, it will host a dedicated pavilion for the B2B manufacturing sector for the first time in India, offering a unique platform for startups in this space to shine. 

Startup Mahakumbh is supported by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

The event will host a plethora of industry leaders, including Amitabh Kant (former CEO of NITI Aayog), Sivasubramanian Ramann (managing director of SIDBI), Falguni Nayar (founder of Nykaa), Sridhar Vembu (founder and CEO of Zoho), Prashanth Prakash (founding partner of Accel) and Sanjeev Bikachandani (founder of Info Edge).

Over 1K+ startups, 1K+ investors, 50+ unicorns, and 500+ incubators are expected to attend the event over the three days. It would also host more than 10 thematic pavilions.

Key Highlights Of Startup Mahakumbh 2024

With the central theme ‘Bharat Innovates’, Startup Mahakumbh will feature mentorship clinics, pitch competitions, and a multi-track conference featuring leadership talks, panel discussions, workshops, and other exciting activities for startups and aspiring entrepreneurs. 

Startup Mahakumbh will also host a Future Entrepreneurs Day on March 20, focussing on cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit among students.

Future Entrepreneurs Day will see participation of approximately 3K students from across the country, handpicked by colleges and incubators for their inclination towards entrepreneurship. Students will have the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, seasoned entrepreneurs and like-minded peers, paving the way for future mentorships and collaborations and nurturing the next generation of innovators. 

The event will feature pitching and storytelling masterclasses and interactions with angel investors to offer insights into investor expectations. Additionally, the event will also see the launch of a structured 30-hour online learning programme on entrepreneurship for participants, culminating in a certification.

Promoting Next-Gen Entrepreneurs

Startup Mahakumbh is envisaged to act as a platform for exchange of ideas and inspire youth and students to take up entrepreneurship. It will facilitate networking between startups and a spectrum of investors, such as VCs, angel investors, family offices, HNIs and potential corporate partners, to help innovators. 

It will also provide young innovators an opportunity to showcase their products and services. The AI and SaaS pavilion, for instance, will host ‘AI for Public Good’ to help startups, research labs, universities, developers and students showcase their AI-driven solutions. 

In addition to gaining visibility for their innovative work, participants will win a cash prize of INR 5 Lakh for the top six projects presented. 

At a time when startups are booming in the country and new and disruptive ideas coming from different corners of India, Startup Mahakumbh is all set to give a further boost to the entrepreneurial spirit of young Indians.
