Last week, the Central government, in partnership with the Karnataka government, hosted its first conclave for businesses — TechBharat 2020. The conclave provided a platform for startups and small and medium enterprises (SME) to interact with government players and other startups in the domain and learn from the experts.

TechBharat 2020 showcased 50 startups, incorporated between 2016 and 2018. Out of which two got a chance to win INR 25 Lakh. The companies were selected by a jury comprised of investors and representatives from EI-Hub.

Moreover, the attendees also got a chance to network with investors and attend sessions by eminent speakers like union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, and Infosys’ Kris Gopalakrishnan, among others.

As we step into a new week, here’s a list of upcoming events:

Pulse42 By Inc42

Begin the new year with Inc42‘s signature tech party Pulse42. This relaxing evening will connect the investor community and startups in an informal setting. Pulse42 is all about getting conversations going among stakeholders with a no-agenda approach. For 2020, Pulse42 is bringing ‘The Pulse of Tech’ outside monotonous meeting rooms in India’s startup capital, Bengaluru. The event is supported by annual partners—Times Internet, AWS, Paytm, HSBC and NetApp Excellerator, the party to bid adieu to the decade-gone-by is on January 23, 2020, at The Bier Library, Koramangala, Bengaluru.

Until last year, Pulse42 had been a closed-door event for the attendees, but with the ever-growing community and after doing 10 editions of Pulse42 and engaging over 1000 founders, investors and ecosystem enablers, it was time to give more people a chance to experience the same.

Cutting down on the long and exhausting process of fundraising, E-Cell IIT Bombay’s sixth edition of The Ten Minute Million (TTMM) is finally here. The Ten Minute Million is a platform where entrepreneurs get 10 minutes to impress the pool of investors and win INR 16 Lakh.

The previous five editions of the TTMM have witnessed an overwhelming success with one out of every two startups winning investors’ praises. Around 18 successful pitch won received on-spot funding worth INR 16 Lakh. Over the years, the investor panel had several investors like Ajeet Khurana, Sanjay Mehta, Bharat Banka, Suneel Bandhu, and Tufail Khan.

TTMM is a part of The Entrepreneurship Summit organised by E-Cell, IIT Bombay, scheduled on February 1 and 2, 2020. The theme for this year is ‘A Brio Breakthrough’. For this, the startups were asked to submit their details and a pitch deck at ecell.in/esummit/ttmm/ before December 20, 2019. The finalists were announced on January 7, 2020. On February 2, 2020, the final six startups will pitch their ideas for a chance to win on-the-spot funding at IIT Bombay.
