Last week, TiE hosted the fourth edition of its Global Summit on November 14 and 15, 2019 at Taj Palace, New Delhi. The TiE Global Summit 4 was on the theme “Indian Startups – Global Footprint”, which brought together prominent players of the startup ecosystem. The invitees included startups, investors and other top executives from India and around the globe.
The TiE Summit was in partnership with the agencies of the Indian Government, global venture capital funds and over 20 TiE chapters from various countries —India, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, US, UK and Dubai. This year the program hosted key industry experts, experienced founders and investors like NITI Aayog’s CEO Amitabh Kant, WhatsApp India head Abhijit Bose, BAce Capital MD Benny Chen, Dream11 cofounder Harsh Jain and Snapdeal cofounder Kunal Bahl amongst others.
As we step into a new week, here’s a list of new and upcoming events:
VC Dinner by Inc42
Inc42 is hosting another edition of VC Dinner, supported by HSBC. The event brings together decision-makers such as partners, managing directors and other executives of the investment world, who are also the key drivers of the Indian Startup Ecosystem.
The idea of the VC Dinner by Inc42 is to get the group together, which could lead to interesting collaborations, global connects, cross learnings, and some interesting stories. This year Inc42 also hosted Mixer in Bengaluru, Kochi and Mumbai.
Some of the influencers present at the event included Devneet Bajaj of Kalaari Capital, Nikhil Vora founder of Sixth Sense Ventures, Niren Shah MD of Norwest Venture Partners, Rohit Chokhani from White Unicorn Ventures, Sameer Nath from Iron Pillar, Sandeep Murthy from Lightbox Ventures, Sanjay Mehta of Centre Of Recognition & Excellence (Super Angel), and Vikram Gupta founder of IvyCap Ventures.

The Dialogue By Inc42 And Ikigai Law
Inc42, along with technology-focused law firm Ikigai Law, is initiating a dialogue on the impact of the draft Intermediary Rules on startups. ‘The Dialogue: A Roundtable Discussion’ will provide a platform to make your voice heard by those who make the policy and play an active role in shaping how these rules will affect the Indian startup ecosystem.
Being held at Taj, MG Road, Bengaluru, ‘The Dialogue’ will help startups and tech industry leaders understand how the draft Intermediary Rules impact their businesses.
