This week, Inc42 hosted another edition of VC Dinner in Bengaluru, which was supported by HSBC. The event brought together decision-makers such as partners, managing directors and other executives of the investment world, who are also the key drivers of the Indian Startup Ecosystem. The idea behind VC Dinner is to get the group together so that it can lead to interesting collaborations, global connects, cross learnings, and/or just sharing some interesting stories.
Inc42 also hosted the Dialogue, along with technology-focused law firm Ikigai Law, which initiated a conversation on the impact of the draft Intermediary Rules on startups. ‘The Dialogue: A Roundtable Discussion’ provided a platform to the industry specialists to voice their opinion and bring them to the notice of those who make the policy and play an active role in shaping how these rules will affect the Indian startup ecosystem. ‘The Dialogue’ is a platform to help startups and tech industry leaders understand how the draft Intermediary Rules impact their businesses.

Mixer By Inc42
Mixer is Inc42’s signature #NoAgenda events. The Mixer is a relaxed evening for the enablers and contributors of the startup ecosystem to simply get to know each other better and catch up on what’s happening around them. Not only does it help give founders perspective of where the ecosystem is, but it’s also a great way to keep a check on the pulse of startups and innovation.
Mixer By Inc42 gives a platform to the founders to catch up with people they have been trying to get in touch with—no appointments needed. The event is a great place to come together to catch up with peers and meet the enablers of Delhi over great food and cocktails. The event is supported by annual partners—NetApp, AWS, Paytm, Times Internet and HSBC—the event will be held on December 12.

CII National Public Procurement Conclave
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in collaboration with Government e-Marketplace (GeM), is hosting the third edition of its National Public Procurement Conclave (NPCC) to help Indian buyers/sellers and other stalwarts of the industry to interact with more than 400 Public Procurement Managers from government departments and public sector undertaking (PSU) across different states.
Government e-marketplace (GeM) is a public procurement platform that relies on technology to remove entry barriers for sellers, creating a vibrant emarketplace with a wide range of goods and services. The platform in lines with Rule 149 of the General Financial Rules of 2017 (GFR-2017), which restricts the procurement of goods and services by any central government departments through the GeM platform. GeM is hosting this event to get more buyers and sellers on board to make procurement simpler and more diverse.

DPIIT-CII National Manufacturing Forum
Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DPIIT) in collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is hosting a Manufacturing Forum to bring policymakers, corporate leaders, CxOs, academia, and opinion makers on one platform. With this forum, the DPIIT-CII partnership aims to share practical solutions for manufacturing development to make a concrete structure for the national roadmap.
This year, the forum is focusing on setting up the sectoral task forces, make policy suggestions for underlying horizontal disabilities and focus on the specific thrust areas identified by the CII manufacturing council, which includes high-technology exports, logistics in manufacturing, among others.
