Last week, the fourth leg of BIGShift was successfully hosted at Workie, Indore on September 6th. BIGShift is an Inc42 initiative in association with DigitalOcean, to enable, engage and empower India’s Tier 2 startups. The idea is to celebrate, discover, connect the local startup ecosystem in India’s emerging Tier 2 startup hubs, while empowering them with much-needed support.
As we step into a new week, here’s a list of new and upcoming events:
BIGShift, Ahmedabad
As part of the fifth leg of the latest edition of BIGShift, Inc42 will bring all the key local ecosystem stakeholders together over the course of an evening to celebrate innovation in the budding startup hub of Indore. Startup founders, entrepreneurs, investors and government officials will come together to discuss the state of the ecosystem in Tier 2 cities through dedicated sessions, keynotes, a panel discussion.
The highlight of the event is the BIGShift Pitch, a platform for startups to showcase their business proposition as well as products or services in front of the stalwarts from the startup community from each location. Any early-stage startup based in any of the BIGShift host cities can apply to showcase their business proposition at the event.

Supported by Startupbootcamp, Hartford InsurTech Hub is coming to Mumbai for a FastTrack Day on September 12. This Mumbai event is part of the Hartford InsurTech’s international tour to find the best-rising insurtech companies.
This event aims to connect insurance technology startups with Startupbootcamp leadership and local industry mentors to receive feedback and mentorship. FastTracks are a series of events hosted all across the globe. From the pool of applications at the event, ten startups will be invited to present their innovative ideas to the Startupbootcamp team, fellow entrepreneurs, and top industry experts, as well as the investing partners.
