Startup Events This Week: Inc42 BIGShift Kochi, 154 Startup Battle And More

Last week, WSquare’s First Global Digital Influencers Conclave for Women was successfully hosted by GoDaddy and Sutherland in collaboration with WeWork on August 16 at WeWork, Holborn London. The event saw the participation of over 100 women entrepreneurs and women-led startups participating on the first day of the conclave. 

The purpose of the conclave was to encourage women entrepreneurs to explore influencer marketing and understand digital transformation through masterclasses, panel discussions, expert talks, fireside chats and mentoring sessions, connecting entrepreneurs to influencers, women technology leaders, community leaders, authors and more. 

Also, 91 Springboard recently hosted a three day celebration on the occasion of International coworking day, which included 11 startup pitches in front of an early stage investors panel with names such as Blume Ventures, IAN, and more. 

The startups which pitched at the event include Invacia Labs Private Limited, Aker Foods, GoAyu, Perfume booth, Agrotech, Revolt, Refer Hire, Zoo Fresh Food, Womaniya and Rhymly. 

As we step into a new week, here’s a list of new and upcoming events:

BIGShift, Kochi

As part of the second leg of the latest edition of BIGShift, Inc42 will bring all the key local ecosystem stakeholders together over the course of an evening to celebrate innovation in the budding startup hub of Nagpur. Startup founders, entrepreneurs, investors and government officials will come together to discuss the state of the ecosystem in Tier 2 cities through dedicated sessions, keynotes, a panel discussion.

The highlight of the event is the BIGShift Pitch, a platform for startups to showcase their business proposition as well as products or services in front of the stalwarts from the startup community from each location. Any early stage startup based in any of the BIGShift host cities can apply to showcase their business proposition at the event.

VC Dinner by Inc42

VC Dinner by Inc42 brings together the decision-makers (Partners, MD’s, etc) of the investment world, who are also the key drivers of the Indian Startup Ecosystem.

We are hosting the movers and shakers of the investing world for this year’s first edition of VC Dinner in Mumbai on 22nd August. The idea is to get the group together which is transforming the tech landscape in India which could lead to interesting collaborations, global connects, cross learnings, and/or just sharing some interesting stories.

Some of the attendees at the VC Dinner include names such as Anjali Bansal Founder of Avaana Capital, Mark Kahn Managing Partner of Omnivore and Sameer Nath Managing Partner of Iron Pillar, and more. 154 Startup Battle

Startup.Network is organising India’s first 154 Startup Battle where investors, business-angels and Venture Funds will get a chance to meet 10 innovative startups, selected by the event team upon registrations. Some startups selected for the event presentations include Algobulls, Agroblock, Wagr among others.

In addition to this, the speakers at the event include Ray Newal of Techstars Bangalore, Archana Priyadarshini of Unicorn India Ventures, Bharat Innovation Fund’s Som Pal Choudhary, and Abhijeet Kumar from ah! Ventures.
