Startup Events To Attend This Week: NASSCOM To Host Product Conclave And More

Last week, IndianStartups successfully hosted the October 2018 edition of its Co-founder Meet to enable startup founders to interact with others and find co-founders. The event also provides a platform for community members to share their expertise and partner with peers to create new startups or join existing ones.

In order to help the youth cultivate the spirit of entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kharagpur which is a non-profit student-run entrepreneurial organisation, along with Mumbai-based investment firm Z-Nations Lab, hosted Local Startups Meet 2018 in Mumbai.

December will be interesting with the 10th edition of TEDxGateway to be organised by US-based media organisation TED in Mumbai. The event will witness participation from thought leaders, visionaries, disruptors, and trendsetters from fields such as education, science, technology, art and culture, who will be sharing their knowledge and ideas. 

The theme of the event will be ‘Ideas worth Spreading’ where speakers will share their stories to inspire and motivate the audience. This year, it is estimated that the event will receive over 5,500 attendees. Those who’re unable to attend the event can watch it remotely as it will be webcast across 200 campuses in India and multiple cities hosting TEDx across the world.

NASSCOM Product Conclave: Anniversary Edition

NASSCOM is all set to host the 15th-anniversary edition of its NASSCOM Product Conclave. The theme of the event this year is ‘Product Mission 2020: Are We Ready?’

The event is aimed at providing a platform to speakers, entrepreneurs, CXOs, investors and customers to share their ideas, develop their business, showcase their products. They will also get a chance to interact with other peers and the success stories will also help motivate many.

During the event, industry experts and leaders will share their knowledge to guide budding entrepreneurs on the pitfalls to avoid during the journey and how to successfully build high growth products.

empoWer 2018: Accelerator Programme For Women

Mumbai-based startup accelerator program Zone Startups India is launching the third edition of empoWer Accelerator, an accelerator programme for women entrepreneurs in India with a focus on the tech and impact space. The programme will support 30 women entrepreneurs, half of whom will learn about technology for businesses while the other half will learn about technology for social impact.

The participants will receive mentoring and guidance during the event. They will also get an opportunity to connect with other peers from the industry and to interact with investors. There will be $81.8K (INR 60 Lakh) to be won as takeaways.

The programme will provide an equity-free seed fund of INR 10 Lakh for three women entrepreneurs from each track. They will also get access to Amazon Launchpad Programme and will also get one-week market access trip to Quebec.

TechStars Startup Weekend Bengaluru

TechStars is back with the latest edition of Startup weekends this week which will be held in Bengaluru. This time the event will revolve around the theme Enterprise Applications.

The event will be providing the participants an opportunity to meet their co-founders, marketers, business folks, designers and developers. Moreover, they will also get an platform to get advise and guidance from the mentors and judges who will guide on how to build enterprise app startup.

Inc42 Webinar With Harsh Agrawal

Freelancing is one of the best ways to gain industry insight and get practical experience. However, the concept of freelancing brings up many unanswered questions in the mind of people.

In order to help the youth get a clear picture, Inc42  will be hosting a webinar — ‘Carving A Successful Freelancing Career’ — this week. The audience will get valuable insights from Harsh Agrawal, the CEO of ShoutMeLoud, a Delhi-based a platform for online bloggers. 

During the webinar, Agrawal will share his journey of becoming one of the most eminent names in the freelancing world. Narsi Subramaniam, the director of growth at digital payment giant PayPal India, will explain the role of the company in supporting Indian Freelancers.
