Here is Inc42’s latest edition of startup events coming up this week. But before we dive into what’s in store for this week, let’s catch up on the successful events of the past week.
Last week, Inc42 successfully hosted the 22nd episode of Ask Me Anything (AMA) with Vishal Gondal, founder and CEO of GOQii, a digital health and wellness solutions company.
GOQii is a one-on-one mobile coaching and fitness tracking service that shares users’ collected data with trainers to enable the latter to provide personalised advice. The app can be integrated with 35 major fitness bands including Jawbone, Fitbit, Garmin, Moov, Misfit, and Sony.
While speaking on the show, Gondal said that GOQii’s biggest competitor is the “couch”, meaning that the fitness and healthcare industry’s biggest challenges are laziness and inertia. He added that the company wants people to get out and be more physically active.
Gondal made his first bet in the Indian startup ecosystem in the 1990s with gaming company Indiagames when he was just 16. After running the company for more than 13 years and taking it to major heights, he sold Indiagames to global entertainment company Walt Disney for $100 Mn.
Also, RevvX hosted the Asia Hardware Battle 2018 with its first stop at India. The Bengaluru edition of the multi-city Hardware Battle was held a couple of weeks ago at with over 12 Startups pitching for the coveted trophy. Here are the three startups that successfully made it to the finals in Delhi this year: Nymble, Fermedicius Labs and Vacus Tech Pvt Ltd.
