When it comes to building a tech platform, startups don’t just have the unenviable task of attracting the best talent, but also have to contend with competition from other tech companies in hiring. Of course, this has led to innovation in the way companies are hiring too.

Bengaluru-based tech startup SOLV is now inviting applications for what it claims is India’s first hackable digital billboard. ‘Hack Your Future’ is a digital billboard designed to change how traditional recruitment works, and unlike the typical process of shortlisting candidates, followed by interviews and negotiations, this is a real-time test of skills and talent. Here, each candidate has an opportunity to hack their way into a job.

By following a gradient and using elements of coding such as 1s & 0s and brackets, the design of the campaign is made relatable for coders. The candidate coders are required to hack a hashkey-based puzzle on a website which is linked to the digital billboard. Coders solve the puzzle and if they get it right, their names will be featured on the digital billboard along with a chance to apply for the open positions at SOLV.

“The digital billboard’s offline-online integration is unique. Techies are invited to hack the code on their phones, see their name displayed on the digital billboard and get to join us. For the millennial techies, it’s an excellent opportunity to showcase their skills, real-time. In our pursuit to include 60Mn+ SMEs in India’s digital economy, we at SOLV sincerely believe in giving a digital-first experience to all.

The talent that we are targeting, will be directly responsible for building the foundation of our conversational commerce platform and make a real-world impact on SMEs across India.” said Nitin Mittal, CEO, SOLV.

SOLV has now made the digital billboard live at the Manyata Tech Park (July 15-19) in Bengaluru, but candidates across the country have the option of participating online and onsite at the digital billboard. 6,00,000+ techies pan India including 2,00,000+ from techparks across Bengaluru have shown interest in this challenge.
