Snapdeal has recently tied up with Mapmygenome to offer DNA Testing Service. The new service will allow customers to order personal genomics tests, which will help them identify the ideal lifestyle for them to lead a healthy and fit life.

Founded in 2011 by Anu Acharya, Mapmygenome uses state-of-the-art technology to decode and understand an individual’s DNA and provides actionable steps for individuals and their physicians towards a healthier life. It offers plethora of mapping tests  such as Genomepatri™, CardioCardiomap™, Oncomap™, Gynaecmap™, Brainmap™.

Anu Acharya, CEO of Mapmygenome, said, “This is a partnership of two pioneers in India offering customers the best possible user experience in their quest for better health. Personal genomics now gets more personalized. This partnership will help consumers snap out of status quo and do something proactive about their health.”

Over the last six months, Snapdeal’s concern for its Health & Wellness section has gained greater significance. At present, the ecommerce giant offers more than 22,000 products in sports nutrition,  Ayurveda, respiratory care, diabetic care, vitamins and more.

By the end of the current fiscal year, Snapdeal plans to invest more than $ 150 Mn in Sports, Fitness & Health categories. Infact, the eCommerce giant had announced that it  aims to acquire INR 900 Cr from the sports and fitness section.
