Petrochemical major Shell has unveiled 13 growth-stage startups that were a part of the third cohort of its flagship incubation programme E4 (energising and enabling energy entrepreneur programme. The company had organised its demo day virtually on November 3 to 5.
The event brought together a mix of 2000 energy entrepreneur ecosystems of investors, startups, corporates and academia to support energy entrepreneurs and their solutions.
These 13 participating startups are operating across the tech domain, making use of advanced technology and innovative business model solutions such as battery technology, vehicle-as-a-service, shared mobility, and fleet digitisation. Some of these startups are also focusing on the electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem.
Commenting on the same, Shell E4 programme’s general manager James Unterreiner, said, “Keeping in mind the energy challenges and current ecosystem, we decided to include more sectors and empower start-ups in the mobility and digital space in this edition. We hope to keep identifying and engaging with start-ups that have the talent and vision to innovate technology and accelerate India’s transition to a sustainable energy future.”

Navi Mumbai-based Commutec is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup that helps fleet operators to digitise their employee transportation business. The company helps its clients to improve fleet utilisation, enhance safety, and reduce operational costs.

Gurugram-based Eee-Taxi is an electric vehicle (EV) rental platform, which offers its services to corporate employees. The platform also offers route optimisation services to reduce travel time by leveraging telematics. It provides a charge point management system for other EV users to plug in their vehicles.

Mumbai-based Magenta Power focuses on solar energy-powered electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The solutions offered by Energos find applications in optimising heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and forecasting of distributed energy resources.
